The only requirement for your customers is that your computer accepts cookies since the application uses browser session cookies for some features.
Selling Items
Instructions for Selling Items are simple. Just click on the Sell link at the top of the page and enter the information in the fields.
Item Name: Create what name you want for your item you have for sale.
Item Description: Create a description of your item that you have for sale.
Image Location: Enter the web address of the image for the item you have for sale.
Opening Bid: This is where you place the ammount of the item to start from. (word of advise, do not make this high, or you will find that you will not seel your item)
Auction Length: Select the ammount of days you would like your Auction to run. You can select from 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 10 days and 14 days only.
Click the Add to Auction button to add your item, or click the Clear Changes to start again.
Once the Add to Auction button has been clicked the next page will show you how your item will be displyed and give you the option to Save Item or Edit Item.
The Save Item will add your item in to the Auction database, while the Edit Item will give you the option to change your item.
Bidding on Items
Bidding on Items is quite simple. Simply click on an item and you will see the details of the item and there is a box that you can add a value to if you wish too, or click on the Enter Bid button and it will add by default, $1.00 to the item.
You will need to be Logged in to place a bid on the item in the Auction.
MyAuctions
Items I'm Selling is quite simple. These are the items that you as registered user are trying sell.
Item is the name of the item.
Current Bid shows the current price of the item to be sold at.
Auction Ends at is the date and time taht the Auction Ends.
Items I'm Trying to Buy is also quite simple. These are the items that you as registered user are trying purchase.
Item is the name of the item.
Current Bid shows the current price of the item will sell at.
Auction Ends at is the date and time taht the Auction Ends.
End of Auction you will be able to see who has purchased the item from the myAuction list and e-mail the purchaser directly. Only the seller will know the purchaser.
Purchasing the Item
You are to purchase the item that you have WON in the Auction. Should you not purchase the item, and we are contacted by the seller of the item that you refuse to pay for it, then your account will be deleted and the second highest bidder will be contacted if the seller requests.
Payments are between you and the Seller of the item and have nothing to do with Classic Motorcycling Australia. All Payments should be directed to the seller of the item only.
All Non-Payments should be directed to the purchaser of the item first, and if they still fail to purchase, contact the Webmaster via the Customer Service link at the top of the screen.
