Sort of a dumb question, but I have a guy keen to build a P4 750/4, we have found a legit 1972 frame but the engine is a 76 K model engine. What are the chances of turning up a set of 1972 or earlier cases to complete the project??????

Its my understanding that if the engine design is basically the same as legit engines from the period then you can use them. So the Honda 750 single cam is ok, but the later 2 cam engine is not.

so any single cam K engine (the F models had a modified head and valve sizes) would be eligible?????? Who do I contact to get that in writing?

If that is the case there may be at least three more 750cc class bikes in build down our way by January, the guys are keen but dont want to throw money at something they cant enter for competitions.

The G.C.R.s say that if the finished engine is visually compatible with the period being portrayed (read 1972 Honda 4 )it is eligable regardless of the origin or the technical specs,or the actual engine no. anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, Hope that helps.
