There is a genuine concern amongst Period 3 Unlimited riders about "bumping" classes from 500cc bikes which are capable of winning these races.

The Historic Commision are, as per the minutes posted elsewhere on this site looking into this subject for next years Rule Book.

I am simply starting this new topic to HIGHLIGHT the need for us riders in changing how this may/can work in our interests.

In order for Clubs promoting the events money/ entries count.

Why are the numbers not entering.

Some i know:
Russell "Rissole" Craddock has a broken bike at the moment.
Brett Rose is fixing his broken bike but also his body from turn 1 crash at P/Isle in Jan
David Weatherhead is also doing as above.
Bob Mc Donough ? New rider ?
Alan Landers broken Leg.
Mick Panayai broken Leg and crook shoulder awaiting Op.

How many others do you know about?

What action can be taken by current riders to encourage more Log Booked bikes to come to the Southern Classic?

I believe Dave Basham in SA is gearing up for a return soon? Anyone know more?
Greg Summerton in SA has his big JAP running.
Graham Wagland injured? Got his Jap runnning?
Joe and Danny Ahern should be coming back in October.

Have a think and pick up the phone, get on the net and e-mail people you know and lets get a big grid for October.....It is up to us to make it happen...
Cheers Keith.

If you let P3 Unlimitted run 'cross period' for four stroke singles, you could get the Yamaha SR500s (now in P5) and the Seeley G50 (now in P4) entering. That's of course , if you could cope with the improved competition?
