G'Day,
After searching around to no avail to buy a bigger Post Classic race bike than my current 125s, I have regretfully decided that I'll just have to build one. I have settled on the Idea of building a Suzuki T500 based racer, and as a result I am looking for the following things:
a. Either a modified T500 frame, (braced, shortened swingarm etc), or an aftermarket one, ie a copy of a seeley or even a TR Replica if any can be found. Alternatively is there anyone around who can build a suitable frame.
b. GT 500 Engine with Electronic ignition, or parts to suit, or a T500 engine with the internal mods already done for the extra gearbox oil.
c. 2 Post Classic eligible 34mm Carburettors, and
d. Appropriate period fairings, tanks, seats to suit,
If anyone can help I will be very much appreciated. I have $$$$$ waiting for the right parts.
Although I will still be very interested if someone comes forward with a complete bike, (it will save me heaps of work).
Thanking you in anticipation,
John Swensen sidecar81@yahoo.com

Hi,
I know where there is a 1970 TR 500 for sale. It has a Daytona motor, Krober ignition, close ratio gearbox, Lockheed front brakes. Nick says it has some room for development if you wish. The engine and clutch were rebuilt two meetings ago and there are some development notes and spares available. Contact Nick Clarke on 08 8391 3653 after hours if you are interested and you might tell him that Geoff Grant (Sidecar #30) put you on to him.
