I have a rolling chassis P4 Sidecar dirt tracker / road racer with fibreglass. I am looking to lend it to somebody who will put a 650cc motor to start the 650cc post classic sidecar class appearing on the circuit. My preference will be for a XS 650 but if forced I will permit a pommy donk. My philosphy is to get more outfits at Historic meetings, racing in the Post Classic 650cc class. It will be lonely because to date there are no others. But someone has to start and I shall put up the rolling chassis to seed the class and put my "money where my mouth is". We can discuss the details if interest is shown, but essentially the frame/ chassis will still belong to Team Dalrac, somebody else will have to put up the Donk and effort to get rolling. It will be a great oppoprtunity for somebody. If some one else wants to put up the motor and we find a 3rd person keen to ride but needs a hand to get going that may be considered also. Remember it is a starting point it now needs enthusiasm.

Buliding a rephased 840cc XS650 motor on Methanol(12:1) to go into my Wasp pre 75 motocross sidecar. The girls are inerested in doing a season on the old motor to build up the new girl's classs. I am the man if you want sucess. My brother could be convinced to swing for me on bitumen. ring me on 95154380.

We are not looking for sucess, but enthusiasm for somebody who may not have a chance to go sidecar racing. The donk must comply with 650cc Post classic rules ie max capacity about 653cc. there is a slight chance we may have support with other bits. IThe sole purpose of this offer is to promote sidecars for somebody who cannot get a start. It will be limited for a set period so we can then move on with somebody else when they are smitten. |

Our wives are taking our sidecar as novices in the new girls class. How about we keep our unit for ourselves and put the girls on your outfit? What is the rest of the hidden agenda? ...maybe they have to be blokes!

No Tony they dont have to be blokes, I have had a heap of calls at home and via the email. I have asked a couple of other people, old sidecar riders to help me with the bits and then work out how we will make the selection. It has moved faster that I thought and I have been having to answer all the extra questions we thought we had time later to settle. Such as running costs, tyres, maitanance entry fees that we originally thought the rider / passenger would cover. So now I will need to prepare a document with all the details and responsibilities. But feel free to email me and I will try and answewr all questions as I write the document. |
