A club in the Northern Territory, in their wisdom, have decided to put a bar in pit garage one and by roping it off will be able to say it is not in the pits.

Pit one is usually reserved for scrutineering but don't worry as the scrutineers will now set up next to the bar. You can get a drink while waiting.

Pit one is also adjacent to the starting line-dummy grid so the officials are also catered for.

On the Sunday road racing will finish at lunchtime and they will take sign on for a come and try the new Motard track. With the bar open a good two or three hours beforehand there is still plenty of time to get a little Dutch courage before signing up so the numbers should be quite good.

The Clerk of Course and Steward are preparing to walk in Saturday morning and shut down this meeting.Spoil sports or what?

I wonder who would like to explain to the coroner and the insurers (in the event of a fatality) why there was alcohol available in the pits?

Is your machine authentic or merely eligible?
