Hi There!
In November I'll be leaving The Great White North (Canada) to live in Adelaide. I am preparing all my beloved bikes for long term storage, or to be abused by friends and family. To be missed most will be my 72 Commando and my 78 Honda XL350, among others. I'll be looking for a bike very soon after I arrive. I have decided that I would like to get a 1970's or 80's Yamaha TT or XT500. I've always wanted one and since I'll be living near the hills in Adelaide it seems like a good choice. Are there any TT/XT clubs in the area? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll be looking forward to taking in some classic events and meeting all the enthusiasts!
See you soon!!!

Welcome, no doubt you will miss the 10 feet of snow each winter, the salty roads that rot your bike and the Brown bears that eat sleeping trail riders. Over here you only have snakes, spiders and dingoes to worry about, plus the cops through those lovely corners in the Adelaide hills area. You will be able to regularly call into the Birdwood bike museum as well. |

I'll definitely miss the snow, it doesn't hurt as much when you fall off. And you WILL fall off in the snow. As for the bears, they're not as bad as being chased down a deserted road by an 8ft moose during mating season.
