I have grave news for those who know this wonderful engine tuner and friend.
Currently he is in hospital suffering from the asbestos related Cancer he picked up some time ago. He has been confident he would beat the C for 12 months or so but it does not look that glossy now.
He is currently making plans for his mate The Cowboy to complete all the projects that they were undertaking for variety of people, myself included, in Jims normally meticulous manner each project item has been discussed and agreed to. It seems as if Jim wants to ensure he lets nobody down.
This is a change from the proud plans to get things done himself.
It would appear as if his time with us is short.

Martin Hone forwarded this to me today
"He is in Ward 2 at the Monash Medical Centre - Centre Road, Moorabbin. He is very weak, on oxygen and bed-ridden. I expect that he will be moved into palliative care sometime next week, so the end is nigh.

Jim is able to talk, and can take the occassional phone call, but as I say, he is very weak. He asked to let you guys know the situation, but I don't think he expects you to race on down to visit." Martin Hone

Jim passed away this morning at 2am.
He was still arguing about things so the fight must still have been there.
Further news will be in The Age and the Herald Sun.
