I think the main reason is that Winton office staff have been flat out getting the V8's meeting set up for next weekend. The meeting will have a lot of promotion, and takes a lot of work. The superbikes withdrew from the Nov. 4th date, and left a better opportunity available. We believe the six hour will be bigger than ben hur, and it's worth being a little bit late and doing it properly. Seems silly that the superbikes don't want to run with the V8s. Year before last the combined meeting drew a 30 thousand crowd. I would have thought to get that many people to a combined meeting was quite an achievement, these days, and very good for motorcycling. The WA champs don't really come into the picture for a Victorian event. It's all a matter of thinking a bit differently when we try to make money. As I've said in other postings, we have to change the mindset, and get down to managing events in a businesslike manner.
