Classic Motorcycling Australia pays respects to young Liam Magee an up and coming star in the sport of motorcycle racing.

DEVASTATED friends of fallen Superbike star Liam Magee yesterday dealt with his death the only way they knew how - by going to the local motocross races.

The Ballarat rider, 19, died with his father Peter by his side after a crash at the Mallala racetrack north of Adelaide on Saturday.

He was travelling at more than 200km/h when he lost control of his bike during a qualifying round for yesterday's Australian SuperBike Championship.
