The HMRAV is planning a street circuit meeting in November 2002 for classic and post classic sidecars with solos invited. A 6.8 km track is planned with a hill climb at the end of the main straight, a sweeping bach straight up and down rises and a fast down hill sweeping curve to a series of S bends before coming to a chicane at the start of the township. Because accomodation and food is limited in this town prebooking of these will be required to enable planning. Entry fees to the event will be low to benefit the participants and the township will budget for the camping and meals. More information will be posted as it is confirmed. We have set up a web site to explain everything once the go ahead is given. Ask any questions here please. John Daley Vice Pres. HMRAV
Please don't organise the Historic TT for 23/24 November, that's when the Winton 6 Hour Motorcycle Enduro is on, or 30th Nov/1st December when the Australian Superbike school is at Winton.
We are planning the 9/10 November. There is certainly some up and down roads in the area, as it runs along and out of a valley, along the rise and bach down again. I guess about 200 foot difference would be reasonable description
Harrow up date. the HMRAV was obliged to prepare working drawings of the proposed circuit for presentation to the track safety inspector. The drawings are almost complete and we will shortly present them to the inspector. As for dates we will need to get approval for the circuit first, but I can say that if approved we will have so many requirements to suit the local community and our own clubs fixtures that I am sorry to say all other requests for consideration just cannot be taken into account. I am not trying to be rude, but just explain the issue clearly.
