OK, I have had it put to me from a few people (yes people) that some of the people who are currently writing on this forum (you know who you are) are spoiling it for them. Let me put this plain and simple, if you can not write anything nice about a person, then do not write it.

I have said there is to be no more personal attacks on anyone, and I mean it. I can understand the frustrations of some and suggest that they use their talent in a more constructive way.

An example would be to get elected in to a role that would help their sport at a club level first, then help organise a couple of meetings if that is your go, and if that doesn't help, go to a state level and if that don't work go to a national level.

I would just like for the personal attacks to stop. All personal attacks will be removed from now on, and the person warned, if it continues, then I will ban the user for a while and if that fails, I will ban them on a permeant basis.

Just that this site is here to promote the sport and encourage others to take up the sport of Classic/Post Class or Historic racing, be it road or dirt riding/sidecar racing. We do not want them to think that we will take attacks on them. Does everyone agree with my comments?

If a user has an issue with a post, please send me (David) a private message with the title of the post, and a detailed message on what part is up setting you. If I am contacted, the information will remain confidential and not revealed where the complaint came from.

I hope this is clear.

David, I agree totally and have to say that this site has the potential to be a huge asset to the historic racing community, its a pity more dont make contributions.

This website provide opportunity to air our differences, and discuss matters which are important to a lot of us.I suggest what needs to be said, should be said, however it can be done without the abuse. Pointed comments are just as effective. Personal attacks only make people 'fire up', and the whole thing becomes counterproductive.
As Alan Sidecar 21 has said, it's a pity more don't participate. The more people who give their input on this forum, the better the sport will be.
The type of discussion on this forum, is what has been sadly missing from motorcycle sport over the years. It is part of the democratic process.

We are lucky we have somebody to let us know we dont know what we are doing, we may have taken a lot longer to find out otherwise.

I do not agree with you Dig.
That exactly what PM's are for.
Still you got the drift that was important.
Mad, yes I would agree, among other features,it means you can speak the truth that others are afraid of.

Dig were you commentting on the comments about abusive behaviour or were you talking about Historic Racing scene. If you were talking about the general scene the Abuse topic may not have been the best place to place it. I assummed you were talking about having taken steps to reduce abuse, what was you posting about?

john,as i see it they are one and the same and are part of the scene as i see it and they both look bad.constructive comments are needed here and negative comments are destructive and do not start real usefull debate.

OK, enough is enough... This topic was setup to advise users not to be abusive to other users of this forum, not a topic to be abusive to other users or say what the topic is.

In turn I am locking the topic.
