Firstly let me congratulate every one who was involved in organising and running the meeting. It was a great enjoyable weekend.
There are how ever a couple of things that I would like to point out that have me confused.
1. We have an entrance licence system in Australia and it seems that HMRAV have over looked this. The entrant of a rider does not pay a licence fee and then enter a rider to find that their name is completely absent from the program. Also no one from HMRAV has contacted me or my entrant to see if my entrant would like to place an advert in the program. The event Sponsors appear on the program cover, page one, page 2,page 4, page 5,page 7 etc etc.
and
also
2.The Post Classic up to 350 cc race entry consisted of 7 250cc machines and 6 350cc machines. It appears from the program, result sheets and presentation that the event was not divided into it's respective classes. I could understand if entry was low for the 250 class that it would not stand as a title in its own right. But the numbers do not support this. It seems logical to me that if there is suficiant entry for a class then it should be run as a championship title. The 250cc has traditionaly been a class recognised world wide for more than 50 years. As much as it has been a tradition to print entrants names next to riders names. Tradition should remain in this sport, period.
Now to make matters worse I log on to the Formula Extreme site on Monday morning and some wonderful person has put the results of the 2005 Victorian Historic Championship on line. Very efficiant I must say.Well done.
Open up the Up to 350 Post Classic/Up to 600cc Forgotten Era race and what do I find. That it was a 3 race series based on accumulated points. The program, and if my memory serves me right, the sup regs gives no mention of accumulation of points for this championship. I was under the impression that the only race that counted for the State Title was the 6 lapper on Sunday????
I feel that these are some small but very important basic aspects of motorcycle road race organisation that need consideration.
Well done HMRAV keep moving forward.

Glad you enjoyed yourself Ivor, but I am a bit concerned that this site again has not been supplied the results from the HMRAV. I would of had them up on Sunday night if they were given to this site, but as per normal, we are left out. |

Ivor. At least you are in the combined results, I seem to have dropped off the radar in the overall results..

Computime has the responsibility for placing the results. I am that tired I cant do it, but I did get a copy last night at midnight and if my email is working,[ I have had trouible] I will forward it Dave. But perhaps if somebody can liase in the future with Computime to get them up I will encourage it. Dont forget please I use my own spare time to do all this work along with the committee. Ivor the Sat results are accumlated from 3 races for the Sat. trophies. The Sunday events are stand alone races for each Class. I suggest you speak directly with Ron Trounson, trophies / race secretary person on 03 9754 7938 to confirm the situation. Entrants in programs, talk with toddy on 5967 2480 he produces the program, but we do print with bigger fonts because of our eyes and entrants will just not fit in the page. But there may be alternatives and the suggestion about adverts from Entrants is a good one. Maybe a page specifying the entrants, could work. |

I know a week has passed since the Victorian Titles, but I would like to say a 'Big Thank You' to all involved for one hell of a meeting. I had a ball. Look, Broadford is Broadford. A swamp in winter and a dust bowl in the summer. I camped Saturday night and even watching 'Stone' for the upteen time was enjoyable. Though 'Debbie does Dallas' would have been better. Hey the showers are not up to the 'Hiltons' standards but atleast they were hot. But at 6.30am waking up with back ache, leg ache and a big head ache I really didn't care anyway. What was great though was having the continued announcements of the next race. Fantastic. Sometimes easily missed. I have only one constructive critism. Could some thought be put into the scrutineering, come riding gear check, come signing in. Maybe signing in and having the gear checked could be done from the same queue. Well done, not only to all that kept eveything running smoothly, but also to all the competitors that made it a 'safe' meeting

Yes that point about scrutinneering is taken on board. I belive we just did not get around to it properly before the meeting. But we may soon have a person responsible for just getting scrutinnering correct, Malcom Fisher from Geelong. So lets see if we get it better. |

At least HMRAV accept the fact that some things could have been done better and are prepared to try and improve next time. Good on you. |

It's OK I know, but from all reports, it was a great piece of racing. Just a shame I missed it, although I was promoting it.

I took it as the acceptance of poor scrutineering procedures causing delays as Garry's comment. |
