G'day Mick! Bought the mag yesterday - it's a good read and I made lots of connections 'cause it's about stuff in OZ. Thanks for the tip.

Mick, I bought the magazine, and I agree it is very well written, and extremely interesting. Jim Scaysbrook brings a lot of credit on himself for presenting historic motorcycling in such a good light. I read the article on the Mal Campbell/Brook Henry Ducati with interest, and I was disappointed at the refernce to the 2003 AHC at Winton as 'best forgotten' - I haven't forgotten and I don't appreciate that sort of reference. You might have read Graham Noonan's letter to Classic Racer about the 2004 Championships, a while back. I actually rang him and thanked him for bringing the truth out into the open. He said a few things I wasn't prepared to about the involvement of a certain well known club and behaviour of certain members who were responsible for Winton being saddled with the event in the first place. You might be awar that the Winton Motorcycle Club now has its motocross circuit up and going. This means Winton will move to running road race events in the not so distant future (after we've repaid our debts to Benalla Auto Club). If some of you are apprehensive about this, we were involved in running the VRRC with Preston Club this year, and there are very few clubs which will otherwise run road races. Other than the fact that Jim has allowed his personal bias to creep into one article, I really enjoyed the magazine. I just hope Jim can maintain the standard in future issues. Best Regards, Alan Cotterell |

I notice JD has a little tirade about Graeme Noonan's comment in the Classic Racer this month. About time he just admitted his role in the procedings in 2004 pulled his head in. Graeme Noonan's comments were pretty accurate! |

Seen a copy at the last Ride day here at Mac Park, but didn't get the chance to have a good look as i dont think they stayed on the shelve long, but they are 1 of our sponsors for Historics in November as i have been working on posters for the event. |
