I ahve had the suggestion that a Formula two would be good for P4 - P5 where 350-500cc two-three cylinder two strokes run against 600cc twins and 750cc fours within the specs as listed for the Clubman series. What are your thoughts? remember if you hit the ride days you will prove there is a place on the race meetings for your favorite bike.

John, In P3/P4 a standard T500 Suzuki is competitve with 650/750cc Nortons and Triumphs, and 750cc Hondas (or any two valve 750 ). An H1 is Faster, but the handling is worse. Capacity limits of 500cc for two strokes and 750cc for four strokes would work, if your clubmans eligibility rules applied and the bikes had reasonably standard motors and frames.
I'm not much into racing standard bikes, however I can see an advantage that it's cheaper to get a start in racing this way. You probably still have to rebuild the bike anyway, and you might as well do the 'hot-up', but there might be a few standard bikes about in good condition. Why would you race you good collector's item? I suppose some will.

Is your machine authentic or merely eligible?
