Hi again everyone. I finally got past that pre-learners course and bought myself an old Kawasaki KZ 500 (4 cylinder). It only cost $400 and is unregistered, but the motor sounds great (I took a MC mechanic with me to look at it and ride it home). I found a workshop manual in the library and copied hundreds of pages of it. I got an old bike to start with so if I drop it I won't feel bad about the damage - but already I feel so attached to the damn thing I couldn't stand to put a scratch on it! Has anyone ever owned one of those? If so, what kind of fuel is best for it?

Welcome to motorcycling. Nitrose oxide would make the bike go like a rocket but that may cause probl;ems for your licence. You could try it with a sidecar it may be ok???
