With my obvious bisa towards sidecars I thought I may try and explain why I believe there are benefits for everybody if we could get more outfits to all the meetings. In the past outfits were always considered to be exciting compared with the modern version. I feel the put downs about sidecars over the years may have turned potential teams away. I have found that since I have "come out" about outfits I have had a number of people ask me about them. I often give people a ride to let them see if they can cope with them, and have built apon the efforts of the Sidecar Club's Sidecar Training days which have always drawn large numbers.
I am confident that we may attract more teams to the track and this hopefully will attract particular spectators who will also notice the wonderful Solos around the place, and boost the gate takings. Once the takings are up, we may be able to provide rebates to riders. So there is a plan to me evil ways.
In my opinion the alternative is to do the same that has been done for years with no effect what so ever, to boost spectator numbers, nothing.
Do you see merit in my points?
