Today I was told that maybe 10 classic competitors will not enter events at Broadford because of the wind and dust [I presume in the pits and paddock area]. I respect that this has been raised and invite comment on any other issues You can respond here or if you want you can email me via this forum Regards

During my normal work (away from this web site) I have spoken to a few that ride, and yes they have said that to go and even spectate is not for them as it is dusty and windy.
I do not see an issue with it personally and I am trying to get them to change their minds, but it is not going to happen soon, but it will happen.
As soon as the rain starts up it should start things off again with them as the dust will turn in to mud and there should be some grass growing after that, surely..
Still a bit of dust or even wind should not put a true rider/fan off..

I have one word for people who cant handle a bit of camping weather,Softc.... I presume these 10 or so blokes are solo riders, lol and to call these blokes competitors has me in fits of laughter.Thats funny. But on a serious side Broady, yes, has a few things that needs attention but if a few more got up there for the working bees things would rapidly improve around the place. One look at the motocrossers efforts and it might change an opinion or 3. Patrick, you and the broady crew do a bloody great job getting work done around the place.Everytime weve come up for a weekend I spot something new.
Cheers Neill

We've just moved down from Andamooka...............went to Broadford the other weekend and had a ball.......ya call that dust!!!!!!!!!!!
methinks the tide of expectation in some people is turning to a distinctly non Aussie style, whatever happened to "Improvise, Adapt and overcome"
It is raining at Mt G at the moment but if we have three dry days before Easter there will be sand and pine needles aplenty.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we may as well dance |
