Hi All
Heading to NZ in 2005 Feb meeting!! We as a club were heading over there, but it look's like falling over as not enough people!! So I'm still heading overthere myself & planing taken the race bike also.
Can oneone suggest to me what it the best way & any idea's weather flying it over or shipping over there or any contacts shipping or flying them over there.
Any help would be greatful.

darn,the news is all bad.nzcmrr meet feb 2005 is canceled owing to puke track being upgraded,could be a new date later in the year

Hi All
Thanks Dig by the web site in NZ it seems to be put back until May??? buggar!! but I'm still looking forward to going over & maybe later would be better with the kids & stuff so I'm still looking at transporting the bike overthere on what ever date, So if any one has idea's or any helpfull info'/hints it would be greatfull.

In another life we used to send cars over by airfreight-on to a pallet and into the cargo hold. At around $450 [ mid 80s dollars ] each way it was by far the best method.
Or you can seek out a freight company who can pack your secure crate into a container and send by trans-tasman shipping. You have to allow a fair bit of time for clearing customs at both ends. Have everything as clean as new.No fuel or oils. Make sure you list every item that you pack as customs get very interested in non declared items! Get a quote also from Qantas or Freedom Air they fly Brisbane-Hamilton and have cheap fares.
