I want to support Alan Cotheral. At least he tried an idea, sure we dont agree with the outcome nor the process, but at least he put a case, had the courage to push for it and got support in some areas.
Hind sight is always 20 / 20 and we now have seen the outcome, if you care to read my signature piece you will see why I admire Alan having a go. He did not stay in the grey area.

Jayne please get your fact's rite Alan c has ridden a 500 triton and a 250 t250 suzuki plus the sealy norton at race meetings between 1960's to a few years ago plus he did try to get PCA running as did I through this forum, It is a pitty that the Winton meeting fell apart, but what i understand the racing was not that bad, when you compare to HMARV stuff when Shirly L canceled the long track back to the short track half way through a meeting!! I had stated early in the peice that car clubs r useless when running motorcycle races 'caus their interest is only making large profits this happened in the 50's a Fisherman's Bend how about when Ago came to Ballarat and their motorcycles got inpounded case of finical problems "yes" this will happen again because we (that all except me)are not "PERFECT"

The 2004 Historic Titles have been run and won. Many people have given their opinion on the event, on this forum and elsewhere, and those opinions have been taken on board for future reference.

I don't believe this particular topic has anymore to contribute and is now starting to degenerate. May I request to David that this topic be locked for reference only and suggest to all forum contributors that you concentrate your efforts on the future and continue with ongoing discussions about historic racing.

Thats a good edit David, the excuse is pathetic but it is your site, so now this site is bowing down to the gutless minority. guess that effectively means this site is going to become useless so i'm out of here. pity coz i've already given a few guys some valuable inside info they've thanked us for so now you can find it out for yourself, good luck you'll need it.

Guys although you may not realise it you are basically on the same side. Alan C and his comments before during and after the Championships was not along the lines of what most competitors expect, the meeting was at best poor, sure the racing might have looked good to the uninitiated but at best it was a poor show compared to what we are used to.
Rather than fight amongst ourselves do the right thing, edit comments made in bad taste, edit out personal attacks on anyone and if there is someone we do not need on here then just remove them and lets keep this site more enjoyable.
Good to see Alan Kidd having some input, a little more from the Commission and MA would be nice even if it were to just keep us informed as to what is really happening rather than speculating on rumours that are often inaccurate.
