Talking of Commissioners, I note that some of the requirements for appointment as a commissioner include;
Knowledge of the particular discipline
Enthusiasm and drive to bring about positive change within the sport
The ability to consider issues from a national perspective
A proven record of contributing towards a successful activity or organisation

Now I will not mince words I cannot believe Keith Roberts meets a single requirement as specified.
As a rider of many years experience I did not even know such a person existed, before he was appointed. Whilst Keith is a nice bloke, enthusiam to promote racing would not be how I describe him. Sure he attends meetings, he does not race often, I guess funding issues which can hit anybody, he does not mix with riders to seek opinions and discuss matters even before he was appointed.
He mentioned to us that he was arguing with MA about the logbook on his own bike and still does not seem to have resolved it. We and I stand corrected if wrong were always of the opinion that he joined the commission to get a logbook. THIS ALLEGATION IS NOW PROVEN WRONG FROM INFORMATION KEITH SUPPLIED APOLOGY IS BELOW.

I have never seem him do any major task at a meeting, he always is concerned about the small picture, never seems to jump up and start anything and I cannot see any record, let alone a proven record of contribution to the sport either as an administrator or a rider.

I hear he was given an officials licence yet has not done the course,THIS ALLEGATION IS NOW WITHDRAWN AT THE REQUEST OF MAIT IS NOT ACCURATE APOLOGY IS BELOW where is the drive to help and learn.

The whisper at Winton is that Keith will be inspecting applications and reccommending the issuing of logbooks we are not confident of his ability to do this.
Prove us wrong and we will reconsider our view.
I have seen him assist in small jobs of admin for short periods of time, that is nice, but never a responsible task.
But in terms of being somebody I would feel confident he is projecting the enthusiasm to others and has the ability to debate an issue and even defend an opinion I am not convinced.

With all the turmoil in Historic Racing we need people we can feel confident will get a good result and things happenning, somebody willing to debate an issue, somebody we have seen around and feel good about representing us, someone we know does things.

Keith Roberts is not the man for the task at the moment.

Why dont you, snoozer and someone else with like minded ideas and wisdom apply to become Commissioners. That should solve all of our problems.
