Hope they do a good job Alan. The brew they used at Broadford was very, very, expensive and was not just a resurface to make the fans happy. Extensive research was undertaking to provide a surface that was more agreeable to bikes. The surface at Broadford has been described as phenomenal both in dry and wet conditions. Gilsonite was also added to the Broadford mix to stop the pushing into corners that seems to be a big problem at some circuits including Turn One at QLD Raceway. Someone last week at QLD was told to turn left past the start finish line and to do all of their braking in pit entry to the circuit just to keep their wheels on the ground!
Wanneroo is in Gods own country. We are hosting next years Championships and are also holding another meeting 7 days later at Collie which is a couple of hours south of Perth. This may in fact be our State Championships so you should/could get two decent meets in a week plus the opportunity to visit one of if not the best wine region in Australia. At least thats my unbiased opinion. Watch this space as we are hoping to be able to offer some special deals to help you guys across the Nullabor. Make the effort regardless, it will be worth it.
That's a bit smart, scheduling the two meetings on consecutive weekends. Spending a week in the west and racing at two meetings is an attractive proposition. I thought a while back, we should probably do that with the Island Classic. It'd give the Poms more reason to come here with their interesting bikes!
