You may have heard already - I hadn't.
According to Two Wheels Forum, Halesey died on Saturday.

He will be remembered by many as a master of 250 Production racing on a 250 Suzuki & later
on GSXs with Neil Chivas, Dave Hiscock, etc in Castrol Six Hour races at Bathurst and many other national events.
Condolences to his family & friends.

On Saturday afternoon on the Old Road near Road Warriors, Alan Hales had a fatal bike accident.

RIP Alan.

Alan Hales was a great ex racer and all round friendly face at the cafe with his entourage of friends who are lost without him. It was good to see them back up there.

A lot of people knew Alan and that is why I am posting this. He was a great ambassador for the sport and lived a full life riding and having fun after his racing career was over.

I know he is survived by a son at least, Alan Hales Jr and no doubt a devastated family.

Working at the cafe I have already seen 7 accidents in 3 weeks, 2 Fatal.

Please be careful and give some respect to Alan who will now take pride of place on our Fallen Warriors wall.

Cheers alan
